TikTok Adds Dreamina Seedance 2.5 for Longer AI Video Ads

TikTok Dreamina Seedance 2.5

TikTok is giving advertisers a much bigger canvas for AI-generated video.

The platform has integrated ByteDance’s Dreamina Seedance 2.5 model into TikTok Symphony, its collection of generative AI tools for advertisers. The upgrade allows brands to create video clips lasting up to 30 seconds while using dozens of images, videos and audio files to shape the final result.

That may not sound like a dramatic leap. For advertisers trying to keep a product, character or visual style consistent across an entire clip, it is a fairly substantial one.

TikTok Doubles the Length of AI-Generated Videos

TikTok Symphony previously supported AI video generations of up to 15 seconds. Dreamina Seedance 2.5 pushes that limit to 30 seconds.

The extra time gives advertisers room to build an actual sequence rather than squeezing everything into a quick product reveal. A clip can introduce a setting, demonstrate an item and finish with a call to action without immediately running into the generation limit.

TikTok says the model is designed for deeper storytelling and more ambitious creative ideas. It could be particularly useful for fashion campaigns, product demonstrations, travel promotions and short narrative advertisements.

Thirty seconds is still short-form video, obviously. On TikTok, though, it is enough time to tell a complete story.

Advertisers Can Add Up to 50 Reference Files

The bigger change may be the number of references the model can process.

Advertisers can upload as many as 50 multimodal reference files, including images, videos and audio. The previous limit was nine.

Those references can guide the model on how products, people, environments and movements should appear. A brand could provide product photos, existing campaign footage, a soundtrack and visual references from earlier advertisements before asking Symphony to generate a new clip.

This matters because AI video tools have a habit of drifting. A product changes shape. Clothing details disappear. A character looks slightly different from one shot to the next.

More reference material does not automatically eliminate those problems, but it gives the model far more context to work with.

Seedance 2.5 Targets Better Visual Consistency

TikTok says Dreamina Seedance 2.5 can produce sharper and more realistic images while preserving lighting, motion and character details throughout a video.

The model also has a stronger understanding of product context, proportions and scene composition. For advertisers, that could reduce the number of generations thrown away because a package looks distorted or an object behaves strangely on screen.

There is a practical cost angle here.

Generative AI may lower production expenses, but constant regenerations and manual corrections can quickly eat into those savings. A tool that produces more usable footage on the first few attempts becomes far more valuable than one that simply generates clips quickly.

Dreamina Moves Deeper Into TikTok’s Advertising Tools

Dreamina is ByteDance’s AI-powered creative platform for generating and editing images and videos. Seedance 2.5 first became available through Dreamina before being integrated into TikTok Symphony for advertising use.

The model can generate 4K video lasting up to 30 seconds. It also supports text, image, video and audio references, giving creators tighter control over the look and direction of a scene.

TikTok added Dreamina Seedance 2.0 capabilities to Symphony earlier in 2026. The latest release expands that setup rather than replacing the wider creative suite.

For TikTok, the goal is fairly clear: make AI video production fast enough for the pace of social advertising while giving brands more control than a basic text prompt can offer.

AI Advertising Still Comes With a User Backlash Risk

The rollout arrives while social platforms are trying to manage growing frustration around low-quality AI content.

TikTok has introduced labels and disclosure tools for AI-generated posts. It also gives users more control over how often certain AI-generated content appears in their feeds.

Other platforms are taking similar steps. Snapchat has moved to limit the promotion of fully AI-generated videos in Spotlight, while Pinterest, Reddit and X have introduced measures aimed at managing the growing volume of synthetic content.

That creates an awkward situation for advertisers.

TikTok is making it easier to produce AI-generated campaigns at the same time users are becoming quicker to reject content that looks cheap, strange or mass-produced. Better generation technology helps, but it does not remove the need for a decent idea.

Brands using Seedance 2.5 will still need to make videos that feel deliberate rather than automated.

Dreamina Seedance 2.5 Starts With Select Advertisers

TikTok is rolling out the Dreamina Seedance 2.5 integration to selected paid advertisers in certain markets.

The company has not announced a full global availability date for every Symphony user. Access may initially depend on the advertiser’s location, account and eligibility for TikTok’s AI creative tools.

For the advertisers included in the rollout, the upgrade offers longer generations, much broader reference support and fewer restrictions on how an AI-produced campaign can be structured.

The technology is improving quickly. Whether viewers welcome more AI-made ads in their feeds is a separate question.
