Snapchat is opening up a wider measurement option for app advertisers as it pushes further into performance marketing. Snap has expanded its Unified Attribution system globally, giving eligible advertisers using AppsFlyer or Adjust a way to combine Snapchat campaign data with mobile measurement partner signals inside Snap Ads Manager.
The idea is fairly simple. Advertisers often see different performance numbers depending on whether they are looking at an advertising platform or a third-party measurement provider. Snapchat’s Unified Attribution system is designed to bring those signals closer together and make campaign decisions less fragmented.
Snapchat Unified Attribution Brings Measurement Into One Place
Snapchat Unified Attribution combines Snap’s first-party advertising data with attribution information supplied by mobile measurement partners. Instead of marketers having to compare completely separate reporting systems, the platform can use those additional signals as part of campaign measurement and optimization. That could be particularly useful for app advertisers running campaigns across several platforms, where conversion numbers rarely line up perfectly from one dashboard to another.
The system also goes beyond simply displaying another set of numbers. Snapchat can use conversion information from participating measurement providers to help optimize campaigns. That means advertisers may be able to make spending decisions using signals that more closely reflect the measurement framework they already rely on for installs, purchases, onboarding completions and other app activity.
AppsFlyer and Adjust Support the Global Rollout
The worldwide rollout currently supports app advertisers working with AppsFlyer and Adjust. Both companies are widely used by mobile marketers to measure installs, conversions and campaign performance across different advertising channels. Snap has also indicated that additional mobile measurement partners are expected to join the system later.
Unified Attribution first appeared in beta earlier in 2026. The wider launch moves the product beyond a limited testing environment and makes it available to eligible app advertisers around the world using one of the supported measurement providers. For marketers already using AppsFlyer or Adjust, the change removes some of the friction involved in comparing Snapchat performance with their broader mobile marketing data.
Why Snapchat Is Connecting Platform and MMP Data
Attribution has become one of the trickier parts of digital advertising. An advertising platform may claim one number for conversions while an independent measurement provider records another. Neither report necessarily tells the whole story, especially when users encounter multiple ads before eventually installing an app or making a purchase.
Snapchat is trying to reduce that gap by allowing mobile measurement provider signals to play a larger role in campaign optimization. Instead of marketers constantly switching between dashboards and deciding which dataset deserves more trust, Unified Attribution brings those signals into a more connected workflow. It does not eliminate every attribution disagreement, but it gives advertisers another way to understand how Snapchat fits into the wider customer journey.
Early Tests Point to Lower Acquisition Costs
Snap has shared several advertiser examples from the Unified Attribution testing period. One real-money gaming advertiser recorded a 26% reduction in cost per acquisition compared with campaigns optimized through Apple’s SKAdNetwork framework, according to the company.
Mohegan Sun Online Casino also reported stronger results while using AppsFlyer data with Snapchat. By the fourth week of its comparison, Snap said the advertiser saw an 89.8% increase in return on ad spend and a 77% reduction in cost per install.
French financial app Deblock used Adjust signals alongside Snapchat’s first-party data and reported a 25% lower effective cost per install. It also recorded a 28% reduction in cost per completed onboarding, 43% more app installs and 31% greater reach.
Mobile app publisher Codeway reported an 18% lower cost per install and 1.8 times greater scale while maintaining its cost-per-purchase performance. These figures come from advertiser case studies, so they should not be treated as guaranteed outcomes for every campaign. Still, they give Snap some early evidence that the approach can improve efficiency under the right conditions.
Snapchat Is Pushing Harder Into Performance Advertising
The attribution expansion fits into Snapchat’s broader attempt to make the platform more attractive to advertisers focused on measurable results rather than reach alone. Snap has continued developing app-focused advertising formats, automation tools and optimization features aimed at helping marketers connect campaigns with actions such as installs and purchases.
That shift matters because performance advertisers tend to scrutinize measurement closely. A platform may have a large audience, but marketers still want proof that spending is producing something tangible. Better attribution gives Snapchat another way to argue for a bigger share of app marketing budgets, particularly when advertisers are comparing it with platforms that already have mature performance advertising systems.
What Unified Attribution Means for App Advertisers
For app marketers, the biggest change is not simply another reporting option inside Snap Ads Manager. The more interesting part is that external measurement signals can now play a stronger role in how campaigns are evaluated and optimized.
That could make Snapchat campaigns easier to compare with advertising activity on other platforms. Marketers may also spend less time reconciling conflicting reports before deciding whether to increase, reduce or redirect campaign budgets.
Unified Attribution will not suddenly solve every attribution problem in mobile advertising. Privacy changes, cross-device behavior and different measurement methodologies will continue to complicate performance reporting. What Snapchat is offering is a more connected approach, and for marketers managing several advertising channels at once, that may be enough to make campaign decisions a little less messy.
Snapchat Wants More Advertising Decisions Happening Inside Ads Manager
There is another angle to the rollout. Bringing third-party measurement information closer to Snapchat’s own optimization system gives advertisers fewer reasons to leave Ads Manager when reviewing performance. That may help Snap make its platform feel more complete for marketers who are used to managing acquisition campaigns through several separate tools.
If Unified Attribution delivers more consistent results at scale, it could also strengthen Snapchat’s position with advertisers that previously viewed the platform mainly as an awareness or engagement channel. Snap clearly wants more of those marketers thinking about Snapchat as a serious performance advertising option.
The Bigger Picture for Snapchat Advertising
Digital advertising is moving toward systems that combine more data while requiring less manual interpretation from marketers. Snapchat’s Unified Attribution rollout follows that direction. Advertisers want quicker answers about what is working, and platforms increasingly want optimization systems that can respond to those signals automatically.
The challenge for Snapchat will be proving that those improvements hold up beyond early case studies. If advertisers consistently see stronger acquisition efficiency and more reliable measurement, Unified Attribution could become an important part of Snap’s pitch to app marketers. If the results vary widely, it may remain another useful measurement option rather than a major reason to move budgets.
For now, the global launch gives advertisers using AppsFlyer and Adjust another way to connect Snapchat campaigns with the outcomes that matter most to their businesses.
